Intro
More Than Our Struggles is a Black-led nonprofit organization founded in 2021 to uplift Black families across the United States through financial support and wraparound programs. True to our name, More Than Our Struggles does more than address financial emergencies; we support people’s steps toward the future they dream of having for themselves and their children.
The demand for our services is often more than we can meet! We are actively seeking donations to our organization so we can offer a financial boost to a greater number of Black families.
Even though we are a young organization, we have had a lot of success! In 2021, while we were waiting to receive our 501(c)(3) designation for the IRS, we collected and redistributed more than $65,000 in direct financial support and over $5,000 in holiday gifts.
